This week has been a really exciting one at Jana—and it's not just because we're one week away from Thanksgiving. Over the last few months, our mCent team has been hard at work on our first television commercial in India, which not only brings awareness to the mCent app in general, but also spreads a meaningful social message. 
On November 14th, we launched mCent's first live-action 30-second video ad titled "Beta Nahin, Data Maango," directed by award-winning filmmaker Ashim Ahluwalia and produced by Future East Films. In the video, we show how women can be empowered through free mobile data and use the internet to overcome societal biases. We are confident that this entertaining and thought-provoking video will contribute to the fight for gender equality in India. Our message is especially relevant at a time when the national dialogue on gender equality is gaining momentum and mobile data usage in India is growing rapidly. Saavn users in India can also celebrate girl power by listening to the mCent's partner's "Celebrating Sheroes" music playlist.
